Mike Alviano is a singer songwriter from Vancouver Island. He has independently released five albums and taken his brand of simple and honest singer songwriter acoustic music on the road. For the past 10 years he has toured throughout Canada and into Europe playing shows at folk festivals, cafe’s, pubs, coffee houses and theaters.
Mike has had three songs placed and featured in episodes of the television show Word Travels which continues to air in Canada and internationally. His song Into Another Day was featured as the theme song for The Kool FM Poster Boy Campaign in Waterloo Region. The song went on to receive national airplay and chart in Canada.
Mike was a semi-finalist in the 2012 International Song Writing Competition for his song The Constant Beginner.
With his emotionally hypnotic, mellow, and uplifting songs he has captured the attention of music lovers from coast to coast.
Mikes musical journey began in the mid nineties playing guitar with the bands Strange Days and the Shannon Lyon Pop Explosion. After 5 years of extensive touring across Canada Mike began the long rewarding journey of setting out on his own. With his songs and his guitar Mike has toured through out Canada and Europe releasing 5 independent albums - Jubilee, Radiate, The Vagabond Songs, Circus and Dream.
Summer 2015 Mike will release his 6th album CLEAR. A collection of simple, singer songwriter melodic, uplifting and honest songs
In 2015 Mike will once again be performing his unique extensive residency shows in Nanaimo through out the spring and summer as well as touring through western Canada into Ontario with a return tour into the Netherlands in the works.
